| The HEV
laboratory is equipped with lifts and machining
equipment to perform fabrication and alterations of
advanced vehicle platforms. PTI Research programs and
student teams such as FutureTruck use this facility to
develop advanced vehicles. |

PTI maintains a one
mile test track. This facility is used by the PTI Bus
Research and Test Center and other research programs to
perform fuel economy, vehicle handling tests, life
testing, and crash testing.
